went with a brick lay pattern for the bench top framed by beefy boards abd beefy legs made for an awesome combonation. Coat rack was to be hanging on the wall but got incorporated in to the bench. inset legs on either end of the bench allows for  boots to be stored under the sides and shoes in the middle.
